A Missouri State Safety Inspection is a requirement set by the State of Missouri for all vehicles minus exemptions. If your vehicle is already registered, you will receive a renewal notice in the mail from the Department of Revenue. This renewal notice will notify you if a Missouri State Safety Inspection and Emissions test is required when re-registering your vehicle. When you visit an authorized Missouri inspection station, we will perform your Missouri State Safety Inspection. If you pass the inspection, you will receive a Certificate of Inspection and Approval that you will bring with you to register or renew your plates. This certificate is only valid for 60 days if it is a renewal and 90 days if you purchased the vehicle from a Missouri dealer.
